HELLO,
We are glad you stopped by. This is American Tiger Karate Schools of Alabama's home page. I am Sensei Lyvon Free, a fourth
degree black belt (also called a low master) in the system and I felt it necessary
to make a web page for my school. You may ask why, well the reason would be that I am proud of our small school, all of our
students here, and even prouder of the style itself.
Our style is a combination style founded by Shihan Douglas J. Welsh, in 1986 , after his studies under Grand Master Floyd
Burk of Traditional American Karate, located in California. More about Shihan Welsh and Grand Master Burk can be found on
