5th Kyu - Blue Belt ( Intermediate Intermediate Level )

4th Kyu - Green Belt ( Advanced Intermediate Level )

3rd Kyu - Red Belt ( Expert Level )

2nd Kyu - Brown Belt ( Intermediate Expert Level )

1st Kyu - Advanced Brown Belt ( Advanced Expert Level )

4th Dan - 4th Degree Black Belt (Yon-Dan) - Low Master Level

5th Dan - 5th Degree Black Belt (Go-Dan) - Master Level

6th Dan - 6th Degree Black Belt (Ruko-Dan) - High Master Level

7th Dan - 7th Degree Black Belt (Shichi-Dan) - Honorable Master Level

8th Dan - 8th Degree Black Belt (Hachi-Dan) - Grand Master Level

4th Dan Black Belts may wear a Renshi Belt (White over Red, around the waist).5th Dan and 6th Dan Black Belts may wear a Renshi Belt (Red over White, around the waist). 7th Dan Black Belt and above may wear a Shihan Belt.

1st Dan - 1st Degree Black Belt (Sho-Dan) - Professional Level

2nd Dan - 2nd Degree Black Belt (Ni-Dan) - Intermediate Professional Level
